society is too far linked
to not find a mask in this world

Coloring BookIt's easy to see everything
In black and white
But it's beautiful to color
Everything bright

Choosing a color
Does take time
Once you pick the right one
You see that everything rhymes

You start
By coloring light
Blending a color
Is alright

When you are finished
You maybe content or derange
But we all know that once you are done
You start over again, but on a different page

There once was an apple that hung

From the most beautiful redwood tree

For an apple so sweet needs a tongue

Like sailing ships on clear blue seas

This apple began as a seed

The tiniest creation attainable

And has continually proven to exceed

All our wildest thoughts sustainable

Through rain, snow, and hail

And it will continue to thrive

To not a single person's avail

This apple looks down

To the broken ground below

Refusing to be sold in town

It stays and continues to grow

Refuses to be eaten by man

With a mind so ambitious

But then the key turns minor, darker, and
Legato measures are no longer played

The horns all rip and woodwinds start to trill
To build the dissonance and the fortes
Crescendo, held fermata, cutoff, still-
The symphony in your voice to end the phrase

Remember in the movements we're apart

Hold Your HandAs I hold your hand,
I hold your heart.

I see you nearly every day. You've been becoming less and less cheerful. Your smile has faded to an apathetic expression, a blank stare, a lost thought. I keep my mouth quiet as I whisper to you how much I still care, but it doesn't seem to effect you. You can't see through what they've said, what they think, you can't see me standing right before you. You can't even see me. Your grip on my hand loosens over time, and you seem about to release me. Your heartbeat is slower, weaker. Unwilling to continue the rhythm, you are changing the song.

As I hold your heart,

and cupped my frailty

it was like my chrysalis was back
and I am changing again.

It was just as warm as I
paintbrushed your palms
with my monarch wings.
You opened up your smallest fingers,
and I saw five hundred facets
of your child's eye.

I saw every angle of your innocence,
I saw the sheen on your corneas
when you flitted those threadbare wings.
I saw the shoebox with corners
like a prism.

And your call was so loud
when you carried me home.
And I witnessed
your five hundred pins,
and five hundred books.

I'm a another stereotype labeled by society

Even though I'm trying my best to just be me

with apastron blackberry tongues.

& like the scattered stars of scars,
saturn's rings whispered secrets
to the telescope eyes of these strangers
cradling galaxies between lovely bones-

No wander about it, just lust.You were a mid-morning train wreck,
the embodiment of poetry.

& my clavicles whispered too many nothings
about your summer storm hands,
folding like paper cranes
to make wishes upon themselves.

wishes are for the weak-
stand up,
do something about this quaking heart
& freezing fingers.

lurking behind wanderlust eyes.

01.07.10 - 22:27I beg for a good night's sleep. Pray. Plead.
But my legs cramp from fatigue, as I'm knocked awake far too early for the rest of the world.
And I become aggravated by my own lack of a will to dream again.
My mind whirrs like the cogs of a watch, ticking in rhythm and spinning at a dazzling pace.
Incorrigible images flash endlessly behind flickering eyelids, giving fuel to the fire,
a fire that blazes far too bright to sleep by.
Before long I fall from my mattress and with heavy eyelids continue onwards.
Another restless night followed by a day that drags me by the ankles through life's trivialities.

Bar talkI was sitting at a booth with five others. We were all hunched over the table so we could hear eachother over the music. There was lots of laughter. I may not be much but at least I've got some colorful friends I thought to myself. I stood up from the table and finished my beer as I neared the bar. I sat at a stool and ordered a shot of tequila, warm, with the training wheels and another beer. I had planned to sit there and stare at my beer for a while, but after taking my shot and shoving a lime into my teeth a woman sits at the stool next to mine and leans in.

"Hey I like your shirt...", she started as she looked me up and down, "white pan

The black rose petals,
fall down within oblivion,
cries tears of dust,
risen before dusk,
the nations cry,
the world roar,
the spirits of the living hit the floor,
together broken,
forever more...

I can see your beautiful emerald eyes
Every time I close mine.

He loves me not...
Caught you so many times
Still pretending your not lying.

He loves me...
I want your lips to touch my cheeks
When I feel so alone

He loves me not...
Laying on this meadow for weeks
Knowing that feeling is long gone

He loves me...
Your hug gives me security
On a rainy night

He loves me not...
But on every storm that comes to me
I just hug myself tight

He loves me...
